Hwajing Travel & Tours proudly made history by being recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the ‘1st International Chartered Cruise Homeporting in Malaysia’. This prestigious accolade was officially presented onboard the Costa Serena, which sailed on a three-day journey from Port Klang to Penang and back from 13 to 15 December 2024.

The historic moment was held on 14 December 2024 as Costa Serena docked at Penang’s Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal. The certificate was presented onboard Costa Serena by YBhg. Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, Deputy Chairman of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Malaysia of Tourism, Arts & Culture Malaysia) to Kenny Cheong, Managing Director of Hwajing Travel & Tours. The momentous occasion was further graced by distinguished representatives from the Malaysia Book of Records and other esteemed guests.
