On March 4, 2026, Disney Cruise Line celebrated a historic milestone with the official christening of its newest ship, Disney Adventure, in Singapore. The grand ceremony marked the arrival of Disney’s first cruise ship to be based in Southeast Asia and highlighted the company’s growing presence in the region.
With dazzling performances, beloved Disney characters, and a special appearance by Hollywood star Robert Downey Jr, who was named the official Godparent of the Disney Adventure, the event was a magical celebration that welcomed the ship into the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

The christening ceremony took place aboard the ship at the Walt Disney Theatre, where guests enjoyed live performances by vocalists, musicians, and a full orchestra.
